EUCMT

Move your EUC platform without retyping it.

EUCMT reads the configuration of the platform you leave and of the one you arrive at — delivery groups, catalogs, applications, folders, administrators — compares them, maps names, zones and hosting, and writes in the target only what is missing or different, one journaled step at a time. From CVAD on-prem to Citrix DaaS, and between Citrix, Parallels RAS and Omnissa Horizon in every direction.

  • Citrix CVAD · Citrix DaaS · Parallels RAS · Omnissa Horizon
  • Windows · macOS · Linux
  • One database per customer
Three vendors, every direction CVAD on-prem and Citrix DaaS, Parallels RAS and Omnissa Horizon, as source and as target.
Read-only until you approve Snapshots, comparisons and plans never change the platforms.
Every write in a journal Preventive snapshot of the target, one step at a time, rollback in reverse order.
Credentials stay in the keychain Of the operating system: never in the workspace, in logs or in reports.
In action

Try EUCMT right here

A desktop application for Windows, macOS and Linux. Below, on a sample workspace: compare a CVAD site with Citrix DaaS, see how Omnissa Horizon is translated into Parallels RAS with its notes, and run the approved plan «Wave 1» to follow journal and log step by step.

The interface is the product's own, in its original language; the data are sample data and the simulation is not connected to any system.

The problem

A migration is thousands of objects to retype

Moving from CVAD to Citrix DaaS, or from one vendor to another, means recreating applications, delivery groups, catalogs, folders and permissions by hand, with spreadsheets that age while you write them.

Every object retyped is a mistake waiting to happen, and when the cutover comes nobody can say with certainty what was migrated and what was left behind.

The answer

Read, compare, plan, then write

EUCMT takes a read-only snapshot of both sides and shows the differences object by object. Between vendors it first translates the source into the vocabulary of the target, and says what has no equivalent.

The plan lists every step with its dependencies, someone approves it, and the run writes one step at a time, records each one in a journal and checks the result by reading the target again. What no API can write ends up in a checklist.

Features

What EUCMT does

Inventory of every environment

Read-only snapshots through the REST APIs of Citrix DaaS, CVAD 2311 or later, Parallels RAS and Omnissa Horizon; for CVAD 1912 and 2203 the PowerShell Collector or a Citrix Auto Config export. Every object with its properties, the JSON returned by the platform and its dependencies.

Compare, also between vendors

Source and target side by side, or the same environment at two different times to see what drifted. Between vendors the source is first translated into the vocabulary of the target, with notes on what has no equivalent or must be done by hand.

Mappings and naming rules

Zones, hosting connections, catalogs, machines and folders mapped one by one, from CSV or with naming rules previewed before they are applied; target computer accounts checked in Active Directory.

Plans you can approve

Add only, add and update, or mirror: steps ordered by their dependencies, the fields each one changes, a hash that freezes the plan when it is approved. For Citrix also as a PowerShell script or a Terraform configuration.

Controlled run and cutover

A preventive snapshot of the target, one journaled write per step, verification by reading the target again, rollback from the journal. Then the cutover: the delivery groups of the target leave maintenance and those of the source enter it, with fallback.

Reports and checklist

Inventory, comparison, plan and checklist in HTML, Excel, PDF and Word. What no API can write — hosting credentials, provisioned catalogs, gateways and clients — becomes the checklist of the scenario.

How it works

One run, step by step

  1. 1

    Connect the environments

Address and credentials of each platform; the test checks certificate, sign-in, site, version and permissions.

  2. 2

    Take the snapshots

A read-only copy of each configuration, in the workspace of the customer.

  3. 3

    Compare and map

The differences object by object; names, zones and hosting of the source mapped onto the target.

  4. 4

    Plan and approve

Steps ordered by their dependencies, reviewed and approved: the approval freezes the plan.

  5. 5

    Run and switch over

Journaled writes and verification, then the users move to the target.

Requirements

What it takes

Sources and targets
Citrix DaaS; Citrix CVAD 2311 or later; CVAD 1912 and 2203 LTSR as a source (Collector or Auto Config export); Parallels RAS (RAS Web Service); Omnissa Horizon 8, 2312 or later
Where it runs
Desktop application for Windows, macOS and Linux, in self-contained packages; the eucmt command line for scripts
Network
HTTPS to the APIs of each platform (Citrix Cloud, Delivery Controller, RAS Web Service, Connection Server); LDAPS to a domain controller for the directory check
Accounts
A read-only account per platform for inventory and compare; write permissions on the target only for the run
Data
One SQLite database per customer; credentials in the keychain of the operating system
Interface
Italian and English
FAQ

What people ask us

Does EUCMT change anything during the inventory?

No. Snapshots, comparisons and plans only read. EUCMT writes only when you run an approved plan, and only in the target.

What happens between different vendors?

The source is translated into the vocabulary of the target before the comparison: a Horizon RDS farm becomes a pool of RAS RD Session Hosts, a Citrix application a published RAS application. What has no equivalent — global entitlements, tags, session policies — is listed in the translation notes and in the checklist.

And if something goes wrong during the run?

Every step is recorded before and after the write. The run stops if the target changed after the approval, and the rollback deletes what it created and restores what it updated, in reverse order. Deletions in mirror mode cannot be undone, and the plan says so before you approve it.

Where are the credentials kept?

In the keychain of the operating system — Windows user profile, macOS Keychain, Secret Service on Linux — never in the workspace database, in logs or in reports.

Is it ready for production?

Inventory, compare, mappings, plan, run, rollback, cutover and reports work for Citrix, Parallels RAS and Omnissa Horizon and are tested against simulated APIs. Acceptance on real environments is done together with the first customers: that is why we start with a pilot on a test environment.

Is EUCMT an official Citrix, Parallels or Omnissa product?

No. EUCMT is developed by Corellix Software Engineering and uses the public APIs of each platform. Citrix is a trademark of Cloud Software Group, Inc.; Parallels is a trademark of Parallels International GmbH; Omnissa and Horizon are trademarks of Omnissa, LLC.

Coming next

What is planned next. If you need one of these sooner, say so in your request.

  • Provisioning Services (PVS) catalogs
  • Writes to CVAD sites older than 2311 through the PowerShell SDK (if required)
  • Signed installers and automatic updates
